1Situational awareness
Safety starts with noticing. Most incidents give early signals — the skill is seeing them before you are inside the situation.
- Know your exits when you enter any building.
- Keep your phone charged and your documents reachable.
- If something feels wrong, act early — leaving is cheap, regret is not.
2Emergency plan for the household
Agree on a plan while everything is calm.
- Two meeting points: near home and outside the district.
- One out-of-area contact everyone can text.
- A grab bag: water, first-aid kit, power bank, copies of documents, cash.
3First minutes of an incident
In the first minutes you are the responder.
- Move away from danger before helping others — a second casualty helps no one.
