About ARMSMA

ARMSMA — Association for Risk Mitigation, Safety and Security Management and Analysis is an independent, non-profit organization based in Switzerland. Our mission is to protect lives, communities, and critical systems in the face of crises, conflicts, and complex security threats in today’s world.

ARMSMA focuses on the comprehensive analysis of risks affecting civilian populations in everyday life. Our work addresses a wide spectrum of threats, including terrorism and violent attacks, armed conflicts, landmines and explosive remnants of war, improvised explosive devices, technological accidents, and other emergency situations. By analyzing the context, patterns, and consequences of these threats, we aim to transform knowledge into practical strategies for prevention, preparedness, and risk reduction.

A core pillar of our mission is strengthening civilian preparedness. We develop and plan educational programs that train individuals and communities to respond effectively to emergency situations, make informed decisions under stress, and enhance personal and collective resilience. Particular attention is given to awareness of mine and explosive hazards, safe behavior, and risk-informed decision-making in high-risk environments.

In the long term, ARMSMA aims to deliver specialized training in first aid, emergency response, and basic life-saving skills, making essential knowledge accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds. We believe that a well-prepared individual can significantly reduce harm, protect others, and contribute to safer communities.

Through research, training, and innovative approaches, ARMSMA connects analysis with action. Our vision is a world where people understand the risks around them, know how to respond in moments of danger, and have access to support when crises occur—creating a lasting and positive impact across the communities we serve.
